MANUALS & SPECIFICATIONS

Technical Translation

Manuals, specifications, standards and product documentation, translated with terminology held consistent across the whole document set — because a manual translated inconsistently is worse than one left in the source language.

How pricing works

Priced per standard page (300 source words), multiplied by language tier and turnaround. See the full tier and turnaround tables and the language tiers in detail.

Process

01

Order & glossary check

Choose your language pair and turnaround; send any existing glossary or prior translated version so terminology stays consistent.

02

Assignment

A translator working in the relevant technical/engineering field takes the job.

03

Translation & independent review

A second linguist checks terminology consistency across the full document set before delivery.

04

Delivery

Your document is returned in its original layout wherever the source format allows.

Confidentiality & standards

Terminology consistency is checked as an explicit step, not assumed — a second linguist reviews the full document set against the shared glossary before delivery. Confidentiality is standard for proprietary specifications; an NDA is available on request. Quote requests for large document sets get a reply within one business day.

When to request a quote instead

Ask for a quote instead of ordering directly if you have:

  • A document set over 40 pages
  • A manual requiring desktop publishing or layout work beyond the translated text
  • Recurring product-line translations
  • A language pair outside the three tiers

Technical Translation FAQ

Do you keep terminology consistent across a large manual?

Yes — a shared glossary is built for your product line and applied across every document, including future updates.

Can you work from CAD exports or diagrams with embedded text?

Send the file as exported; if text is embedded in an image rather than editable, note it in your job note so we can confirm what’s extractable before we start.

What if we update the manual later?

Send the updated version and reference the earlier order — we translate against the existing glossary so the new pages match the old ones.

Is this suitable for a CE-marking technical file?

It’s suitable as the translation component. Confirm the specific regulatory formatting requirement with your compliance team; we translate the content, not the regulatory filing itself.
